Austin 3D Users' Group meeting January 25, 2006 6:30pm
The first meeting of 2006 will feature David Alder's ZBrush tutorial. Location will be at ITT TECH. More to come!
Why ZBrush? Pixologic's ZBrush2 was recently awarded Game Developer's Frontline award for best Art Tool. Many studios are using it to res-up their models for next-gen games. David has prepared the basics for us on his website. Follow the link to get a preview of what he'll be showing. Bring your questions! We'll have snacks, refreshments, and door prizes to give away.
Attn Max users: Autodesk's 3DS Max received the honor of being chosen for the Frontline Awards Hall of Fame. See more about the Frontline Awards HERE.
2006 should bring a wealth of interesting topics. We're working on putting together a meeting focused on architecture to be held at the UT School of Architecture, and one to cover aspects of rapid prototyping. We'd also like to cover Film and Video, and the crossover that exists with games, such as machinima. What topics would you like us to cover at 2006 Users' Groups? Would you like to take on a role in the group? Do you have any ides for projects we could complete as a group? Do you have wisdom and experience to share? Please help guide our community efforts with your valuable input.
