3d Austin Users Group - Next Meeting – Wed. Mar. 25 at 6:30 at El Mercado’s at 1702 Lavaca, Austin TX.

For March we had lined up two presentations.

1. Johnathan Vought
    A special presentation on Mental Ray rendering:
        Subsurface scattering for rendering human skin realistically
        Displacement mapping used for ocean water.

2. Joe Pizzini
    His site "3DSPEEDMACHINE" for measuring the performance of 3d rendering hardware.
    Don't buy new hardware and hope it's fast. Measure it! Joe has lots of tips and tricks and files to use. A lot of stuff on Mental Ray rendering and how to measure speed.
