The April 3DSMax Users' Group meeting Wednesday, April 27 at 6:30pm: Highland Business Center Campus Room 301.0 Austin Community College 5930 Middle Fiskville Rd Austin, TX 78752
Notes to Follow:
This will be the first of a three-part
series on "Pipeline and Workflow."
This week we will be featuring a panel
discussion, rather than a prepared presentation. Panelists include
Ivan Enriquez, Art Director for Wolfpack Studios and Aaron Smischney
of Midway Studios Austin. Each will bring some of their team leads
to participate in the discussion.
We especially encourage professionals and freelancers to attend this meeting. Please think of pertinent questions in advance, so we can make the best use of our panelists' time and experience. This is also a good time for fledgling DCC artists to learn about the strengths and challenges of the game production environment.
We'll also have a few short presentations:
Johnny Luce (some of you may remember his Make Something
Unreal Project from the February meeting) will show us a completed
model of a train to be used in a graphic novel "From Inside"
by John Bergen.
Johnathon Vought and his students will demonstrate Reactor and show how they
used it in some of their projects
Adam Duran, Senior Application Engineer
from Right Hemisphere will
share some ways you can improve your workflow. Some of you may recall
the February meeting, when there were questions about importing CAD data
into Max. Adam has just the tools and techniques to accomplish this.
Note:
We have some specials this week only that include free Right Hemisphere
bundles with 3DS Max. Ask us about them!
Evan Gill and his cohorts from TSTC
will update us on the progress of their Doom3 Mod.
We will also have a few prizes to
give away, as well as snacks and drinks. : )
Mark your calendars! We'll see
you soon!
