1968 Jaguar XKE Coupe

A running, driving intact original car. I bought the car in non-running condition to use as a reference for restoring my '68 XKE Roadster. What a find. This is a much better car than I originally thought. I bought the car from a swimming pool contractor in Dallas, he had received it in trade from a Doctor he had done work for, the Doctor got the car from a fellow Doctor here in Austin who is a member of the Jaguar Club. The engine was gone through several years ago and has few miles since. The major remaining problems are cosmetic. The car was left out in the Texas sun too long. The seats are dry, cracked and deteriorated. The paint is faded. There is a small ding in the nose that the Austin Doctor remembered from when he had the car. The good news is that this runs and drives good and should continue to do so for many years to come. A small rust spot under the passenger door, and another about the right read wheel well, see above photo! March 16, 2002, this car sucessfully participated in the Spring Fun Run with the Jaguar Club Of Austin. It was the only XK of any variety to make the run of over 130 miles through the Texas Hill County.
