Dreams of Pompeii

A dream sits dilicately balanced on the back of the mind.
The act of writing destroys it.
Remembering distorts it.
The experience of the dream
is the dream.
It is a gift
from the giver
of things
we don't understand.
Where, when, why, how
all words
all dream destroyers.
If...?
Why not...?
What if ...?
all dream creators.

There is
what is.
There is
what we know about.
Some call
what we know about
Reality.
Others say
Reality
is
what is.

Some say
the void
between
what is
and
what we know about
is
a dream world.

Others say
the void
is just the part
of the word
that we don't
know about.
Yet.

Beyond sense
is not
non-sense.
Or
maybe
it is.
Maybe that
is the meaning
of nonsense.

See
Hear
Feel
Smell
Taste

The five senses.
Ranked by Information Content.

Why
does the Bible
in the Book of Genisis
say that
woman
then man
Tasted knowledge?

A thirst for knowledge?
Something
we need
for sustenance?
Something necessary for life?
Something lacking?

Given Knowledge,
we see
the unknown,
we see
the world
outside the garden.
It was always there,
unseen.
Non-sense.
Nonsense.

What else is there?
Out there.
Out here.
What can get us?
Just because
we don't see it coming
doesn't mean
it won't kill us.
Ask Mr. Tyranasauras.

What's not there?
Here.
Where are the voids?
Who was here
before?
Who disappeared
without a trace.
Leaving
only a void?

Reality exists.
Dreams don't.
Dreams
are
Reality's
secret messages.
Where is your
magic
decoder ring
when you need it.
Whats out there?
Who is sending messages?
Why do I care?
If God exists
He is out there.
Does that mean
that whoever
is out there
is God?
There (outside, nonsense)
is here. (inside, sense)
What exists
exists.
Existence of anything
is not dependant
on me
or
on my knowledge
of it.
I,
however,
am very dependent
on the unknown
for my continued
existence.
I can,
like my friend from Pompeii,
become a void
in reality
in a second.
All it takes
is one
unwise
decision.
Stay
instead of go.
Go
instead of stay.
Maybe,
if I could see
a little farther,
hear
a little lower,
feel
a little fainter,
smell
a little lighter,
taste
a little better.
SHFST.
If I
just knew
a little more...?
